I've been looking for a song by J. Geils Bands. Does anybody have the tab for "Angel in Blue". If not, I guess it'll be a good one to learn how to transcribe it myself.

Thanks

I was looking at the chords for "For What It's Worth" and it seems that there are some important chords missing. I'm talking about the part where they sing "stop children what's that sound. everybody look what's going down". I hear a "D" on the word "what's" , an "A" on "everbody" and another chord on "goin'". Most tabs call for a "C" on "goin'", but that doesn't sound right to me. Any ideas? Thanks

Are you talking about those chords "missing" from David's lesson?

If so, yes, you're probably right, but he doesn't usually arrange things exactly as the original; more of an interpretation to get the lesson across (in this case, counting and basic strumming.)

But I'd agree with you on the D, and I think the C is probably correct too.

P.S. Welcome to GN!

Vic - Can this get moved to the request thread so it doesn't look like a tab for the song?

I know the song, in fact I think I've got it somewhere on one of those cheapo (Ronco or K-Tel or Arcade) compilation LP's from the 70's, in which case I'll also have it on tape - gimme a chance to find it and I'll see what I can come up with. I remember it fairly well, and I don't think it'll be too difficult!

Gratefuldave - that Youtube video'll save me the bother of clambering through the attic! Had a quick look - 'tis late here, past 2.30 am - and it looks pretty easy. Chords are A, F#m, D and E, with maybe a couple of 7ths thrown in - I'll have a proper look in the AM. You don't say what sort of standard you're at - if you're fairly new to guitar, you can always play those chords as G Em C and D, with a capo on the 2nd fret, if the F#m is too difficult for now.

Anyway, I'll work it out properly once I've had a few hours sleep.

'Lady Jane' ..The Rolling Stones. Even just the chords would be fine, I can figure out the rest. The dulcimer tab would really be groovy though :D :note2:

You don't say what sort of standard you're at-Hi Vic,I've been playing for 20 months.I still consider myself a beginner cos I can't get those damn barre chords.I've got about half a dozen semi decent songs in my repertoire n would like to add 'Army' cos I always thought it was a cool song (showing my age here).Regards-Dave
