i would be great if some one could give a fingerpicking blues lesson. mississipi john hurt song would have been great, fingerpicking blues sure sounds the best on the acoustic.adios

Not a lesson exactly, but here is a nice little tune that incorporates (1) the blues shuffle David Hodge describes in Beginner's Lesson #6 (Before You Accuse Me); and, (2) and the chromatic descent he describes in Beginner's Lesson #8 (Going to Kansas City). Easy to play (although I use flat pick, rather than fingerpick) and your friends will like it. I tend to use it as a warmup exercise.
