It might feel a bit early to be thinking and posting xmas tunes, but I'm a slow learner so what can I say. Anyway here is the next xmas tune I worked out with a heavy melodic choral progression in mind.

I am finding many of the chord changes challenging, making it a fun song to learn. So anyway, here is what I worked out for this one:

Cool, didn't realize it was a little more complex with a few 7th chords in there. I like to sometimes just track some holiday songs during the holidays. But I can't sing so I pull out the 8 track, or (got a DP-32 now also) and do my own little versions with the vocal melody played on guitar (a instrumental.) Sometimes I will do the melody lead track and just stick chords in that seem right, and it gives it a tad different feel. I never get to complex or work on adding wild stuff in the melody, I just stick to how the singer would sing it. Or Rec the background and play it Christmas day. Fun stuff
