Here is a melodic easy song with easy chords which is good practice for swapping between them relatively quickly.

It's one of my favorites from the Beatles "White Album". (Sorry to Vic, I know you don't like the album) I put Beatles in brackets as Paul did most of this one alone.

In fact most of the album is like this, it could almost have been their last album before going solo and probably should have been as it demonstrated a lot of their individual talents. It's not been my most favourite album but I have grown to love it over the past 38 years "OMG has it been that long?"

I never play the tracks "Revolution No9 or Wild Honey Pie" Those tracks IMHO are total rubbish.

The strum pattern? I can only say listen to the song, it's not that difficult.

Here goes then:

Verse 1:

Who (G)knows how (Em)long I've (Am)loved you?

(D7)You (G)know I (Em)love you (D7)still

(G)Will I (C)wait a (D7)lonely (Em)lifetime?

(G)If you (C)want me (D7)too, I (G)will. (Em) (Am) (D7)

Verse 2:

For (G)If I (Em)ever (Am)saw you

(D7)I (G)didn't (Em)catch your (D7)name

(G)But it (C)never (D7)really (Em)mattered

(G)I will (C)always (D7)feel the (G)same (Em) (Am) (D7)

Chorus:

(C)Love you For(D7)ever (Em)and forever

(Am)love you with (D7)all my (G)heart

(C)Love you when(D7)ever (Em)we're together

(A7)Love you when we're (D7)apart.

Verse 3:

And (G)when at (Em)last I (Am)find you

(D7)Your (G)song will (Em)fill the (D7)air

(G)Sing it (C)loud so (D7)I can (Em)hear you

(G)make it (C)easy (D7)to be (Em)near you

(G)For the (C)things you (D7)do endear (Em)you to me

(Am)Oh You (D7)know I (G)will. (Em) (Am) (D7)

Enjoy and have fun with it everyone, ( and to Vic, you might like it too)

Chris

Hey,
thanks for the tune. I don't know it at all, so I'll have to get my wife to sing it a time or 2 (no easy task). I'm almost happy with "Nowhere man" from the official lessons here, so this will be a good second Beattles tune.

As for the song - it's been so long since I listened to the white album, I've actually forgotten it... oops!

Who are the Beatles? Indeed. Someones avin a larf

Nice easy one Chris not my ultimate favourite from the "white".
Faves from this one have gotta be, obviously "W M G G Weeps" and then "I'm So Tired" and "Yer blues". Oh and "Julia". and "Happiness Is A Warm Gun". Well lets be honest all of John's

Be excellent to each other & party on dudes!

The chords for the orginal are:

F Dm Gm7 C7
F Dm Am F7
Bb C7 F F
Bb C7
F Dm Gm7 C7

F Dm Gm7 C7
F Dm Am F7
Bb C7 F F
Bb C7 F F7

Chorus:

Bb Am Dm
Gm7 C7 F F7

Bb Am Dm
G7 C7

F Dm Gm7 C7
F Dm Am F7
Bb C7 Dm Bb F
Bb C7 Dm Bb F
Bb C7 Dm Bb F
Gm7 C7 Db7
F F F7
Bb Dm Gm7 C7

It's a different key and a bit different from the version you posted, but those are the chords used on the White Album. Just in case you want to play along with the recording. (Sorry, I'm too lazy to write it out with the lyrics).

I agree it's a great song.

Well we all shine on--like the moon and the stars and the sun.

Let's not forget the immortal "Blackbird" from the White Album! Not to mention "Rocky Raccoon"!
