mad world.....originally a Tears For Fears song......covered by Gary Jules on piano and used in the great film Donnie Darko

its a cool tune and i've used two tab sources to come up with this....make it your own

its not in the same key as the original but it sounds ok as it is but capo first fret is close (i prefer without)

have fun
Intro (piano tune)

(E)1|-0---7--2--3--0--2--------|-0----7--2--3--0--2--3--5---|

(G)3|--------0--0-----------------0-|-2--2--2--------2--2--2----0--------|
(D)4|--2--2--------2--2-------------|-----------4------------------4--2--|

(you can also play it an octave higher (12 frets higher), to 'cut-through' more)

What a hauntingly beautiful song! Substituting an Em for the E chords makes it even more melancholy. Great job ballybiker . . . thanks for including this in the ESD!!! Shug

Here's a link to a fingerstyle arrangement for the intro and chorus with similar chords for the verse.

Youtube video of the guy playing it:

Great song! Em definately sounds better that E though - makes it extra-moody 8)
