could anyone give us a lesson on this song by Neil Young? like strumming patterns and what not thanks.
I can tab out the version I do.
I just made this recording so you can hear what I'm talking about.

Let me know if that will do and I'll tab it.
There are a couple of things I left out, like the hammer on on the Dm, but all in all it works.
That's nice Nick! Glad to see I'm not the only one who needs more than one take to get it and yes I'd love to see it tabbed. 8)

Here is the intro. I will tab the rest but it's just:
G
320003
Fadd9
xx3213
and
Dm
xx0231
Leave your pinky down on the change. Occasionally hammer on the pinky on the Fadd9.
Ol' Neil breaks into chunks of the intro between verses.
The strum pattern is the same as the intro throughout.
Okay, so this is easier than it looks. It's really only two and a half chords in the intro. G, C and C slid up two frets, which makes it a Dadd2add4 or something like that.
Go slowly and freely. If you want to play along with the recording Neil is tuned down a step, DGCFAD. I usually can't be bothered so I just play it in standard.

thanks Nick, looking forward to the rest.
Thanks to all! I've just decided that this is the next song I learn from start to finish.
You *gotta* love Neil. 8)
