Ooooohh, love this song. It really evokes an atmosphere and a mood.

Looks a little challenging for me, but that's what getting better is about, isn't it. Thanks for this!

jonnyt,

Been working with this a little, and I have a question about the chorus riff.

1/E |–8-9-11-9-8---|
Am7 G 2/B |------------9-|
BLOWING THROUGH THE JASMINE IN MY MIND____ (chorus riff)

Shouldn't it be: 1/E [ -7-8-10-8-7 --]
2/B [--------------8-]

(Or in notes, B,C,D,C,B,G) ??

Thx!

Oops - I'm bad!

Thanks for catching that... I've made the changes to reflect the riff in the correct key of G.

Cool! And thanks again for a great song! I want to be able to play it well (at least decently, being a beginner).

Good song, and best of all, I even caught that problem in the chorus riff myself. And I haven't heard that song in ages. Thanks for posting it jonnyt.

TYPO error when I retyped it prior to posting. I should have played it first and it would have been obvious.

One other tweak I'm wondering about for Summer Breeze:
D A Em ' ' C*
IN THE EVENING ON A FRIDAY NIGHT_________

I'm wondering if the Em above could be an E instead? I don't have a recording of it, so am just trying to hear it in my head as I play it. Or maybe it's an Em on the line shown above, and changes to an E when that chord progression repeats (below) ?

D A Em ' ' C*
LETS ME KNOW EVERYTHING IS ALL RIGHT_________
Or maybe what I'm hearing in my head is a melody line and not the underlying chord.......

I find something so satisfying about the combination of chords (and lyrics) in this song.

Quick note about my post just above.

The placement of the chords above the lyrics looked correct when I posted it, but I see they "jumped" left and do not appear above the correct lyric. It doesn't change the order of the chords, so it's neither here nor there, really.

Nope, E minor.

If you try to play along with the orginal recording, you'll discover that it is slightly off standard tuning... a little sharp... probably done in editing or the fact that it was probably originally recorded on reel to reel tape. Beginning of the reels sometimes ran slow and the ends sometimes ran fast.

E doesn't = MC2, E = Fb

Great tab of a great song. Thanks a lot for your efforts . I'm new round here and relatively new to guitar, but I'm hoping I could contribute some tab at some point too.
