True love will never f[C]ade [F]
True love will never f[Dm]ade [G]
True love will never f[C]ade [F]
True love will never f[Dm]ade [G]
True love will never f[C]ade
I wonder if there's no [F]forever [F]
No walking hand in h[C]and
Down a yellow brick r[Dm]oad [G]
To never never land [C]
These days I get to where I'm g[F]oing
Make it there eventually [C]
Follow the trail of breadcr[Dm]umbs [G]
To where I'm meant to [C]be [F]
To where I'm meant to [C]be
I don't know what brought you t[F]o me
That was up to y[C]ou
There's so many come to s[Dm]ee me [G]
Who want their own tatt[C]oo
I fixed a needle in a h[F]older
Laid my hand upon your sp[C]ine
And there upon your sh[Dm7]oulder [G]
I drew the picture as your s[C]ign
When I think ab[Dm7]out us [G]
I see the picture that we m[C]ade [F]
The picture to rem[Dm]ind us [G]
True love will never f[Dm]ade [G]
True love will never f[C]ade [F]
True love will never f[Dm]ade [G]
True love will never f[C]ade [F]
Interlude: Dm G C F (2x)
I worked the rowdies and daytr[F]ippers
Now and then I think of y[C]ou
Any which way we're all sh[Dm]ufflin' [G]
Forward in the qu[C]eue [F]
They like to move my oper[F]ation
They like to get me off the p[C]ier
And I dream I'm on a st[Dm]eamer [G]
Pullin' out of h[C]ere
When I think ab[Dm]out us [G]
I see the picture that we m[C]ade [F]
The picture to rem[Dm]ind us [G]
True love will never f[C]ade [F]
True love will never f[Dm]ade [G]
True love will never f[C]ade [F]
True love will never f[Dm]ade [G]
True love will never f[C]ade [F]
True love will never f[Dm]ade [G]
True love will never f[C]ade [F]
I even took the plunge and recorded it, so this is my first public appearance....
Please lend me your eye and ear and let me know what you think.

Is there someone who can transcribe the interlude bit played by Mark, it doesn,t sound to difficult but is still beyond my capabilities to figure it out, i''d be very gratefull, would make the song more lively i feel.
Thanks ,
Ron
There really aren't many Knopfler or DS tunes here on the forum, and I really appreciate you adding this one. The video over at You Tube is fabulous and really helps with the strumming pattern. Thanks!
Fred.
P.S. You wouldn't happen to have given Our Shangri-La the same treatment, would you?
