Here's what I've been playing for the intro. It's really cool sounding and pretty easy to play. Just bear with the tabbing, it's my first attempt
E-----4----4t---4-----------------5t---0--------------------------------
B-----4h5--5t---4-----------------5t---0--------------------------------
G-----4----4t---5------5---5sl6---6t---1--------------------------------
D-----4h6-------6-----6----6sl7---7t---2-----------9--------------------
A-----4---------6----6-----6sl7--------2------9h11----------------------
E---------------4---4------4sl5--------0---0----------------------------
the parts with a "t"
You play the notes and then quickly tap the strings with your right hand to mute them. That's what gives this intro alot of it's recognizability (is that a word? hah)
enjoi!
Thanks! Can you tab that riff from "Island in the sun" on the same album? I think I almost got it.....
BJ
not much going on in that song but heres a link to the tab
Thanks - there's a little palm muting in this riff too.. but it doesn't show BJ
I've got Island in the Sun and Say It Ain't So on my site, if you want to see the whole thing in chord charts (and tabs for the main riffs).

Rob - right! Yes - that's the tab I use for "Island in the Sun" , another great tab! Using you strumming pattern sounds fine without the palm muting.....

I encourage everyone (especially beginner's) to check out the tabs on this website:
