Featuring $22,000 in prize money, the Wilson Center Guitar Competition & Festival is open to competitors of all ages! This annual festival features four separate competitions—Fingerstyle, Classical, Jazz, and Rock & Blues.

First Place (in each competition) - $3,000 cash prize

Third Place (in each competition) - $1,000 cash prize

The semi-final and final rounds of competition will take place Thursday, August 13 through Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts located at 19805 W. Capitol Drive in Brookfield, WI.

The Wilson Center Guitar Competition takes place in two phases: performance video submission and invitation-only live performance semi-final and final rounds in Brookfield, WI.

You may register in a maximum of two (2) different genre categories. Indicate on the form the category (-ies) in which you wish to compete. The registration fee is $50 for one category. The registration fee is $80 for two categories. The application fee is non-refundable, without exception.

All applications must be received by midnight (CDT) on May 1, 2015. Applicants must submit a performance video of two contrasting works either by DVD or YouTube, with the video marked as public or unlisted. Video submission opens on 2/1/2015. PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE RULES BEFORE APPLYING.
From the pool of YouTube and DVD applications, jurors will select semi-finalists who will be invited to perform in the live semi-final round at the Wilson Center. The number of competitors advancing to the final round will be determined by the semi-final round adjudicators. To ensure the integrity of the competition, both the semi-final and final round auditions will be blind, with jurors seated behind a screen so they are not able to identify competitors. Semi-final and final round performances are open to the public and will be judged by a panel of renowned artists from each genre. First-place winners in each competition will perform live on Saturday, August 15, 2015.
