What would they be? I'm talking stompboxes here rather than like..."station" pedals. I guess Whammys are allowed...
For me:
I'd probably take either the Boss or Digitech Overdrive/Chorus pedals....but you don't necessarily have to be specific.
Assuming I have a decent amp with a proper reverb:
-EQ
-Volume
-Compressor
Crybaby Classic Wah
Ibanez Tubescreamer TS808
Memory Man Deluxe
Accelerator
Brake
Clutch
... ?
Actually I do have three for my guitar too
Tube Screamer
WahWah
and,erh...some kind of dirstortion
But I don't use neither of them a lot. It's kinda my intention to be better at playing first before I experiment too much with sound. IMO, pedals may make me sound better than I am - I'm not interested in that. Practice first. Pedal bonus later. But that's just me

i dont actually have any pedals, but the top 3 on my list to get are:
cry baby wah
delay
big muff fuzz
This is my signature. Fear it.
I don't have any pedals at all, so I can't really say for sure as I don't have the experience of owning them. But I have some ideas...
A Wah Wah, for sure.
Fuzz box of some sort.
A looper pedal. I'm getting one for X-mas and I know I'm going to love it!
A tremelo would be cool to, but those top three are the essentials for me at the moment.
Wah (Vox), volume (Hilton), and delay (Ibanez Analog)
Overdrive
Analog Chorus
EQ

EQ
Tubulator
Echo
DanElectro Fish&Chips EQ
Digitech Bad Monkey
Dunlop Q-zone CrybabyWah
#4491....
I only have three pedals.
They are:
Vox Wah
Boss Noise Suppressor
Boss Loop Station
Wah
versatile fuzz/distortion
delay
(Close 4th would be EQ)
It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!
For bass:
Aphex Punch Factory Compressor
Aphex Bass Exciter
EHX Small-Clone Chorus
"Everybody got to elevate from the norm."
I have:
EQ
Overdrive
Wah (Cry Baby)
I also have a tape echo unit, which doesn't count as a "pedal"
The overdrive is not really for playing through an amp, but for input into the pc - my amp's overdrive is more than adequate (I'm currently running a 12AT7, a 12AX7 gives me much more distortion, but also as much less clean).
If I was to remove the overdrive, I'd probably replace it with a chorus pedal.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?
