I made a DIY Talk box tonight  Its very easy to make. I used this guys instruction

Here is a sound sample of mine. I used a Dean Morley Micro Amp.]

Its not very good. It takes some practice to get this right. Also I think you need to put this device in a sound proof box. You need to record this with the mic up to the mouth to get the full effect. Got some bugs to work out, but its pretty cool 8)

lol -- I made one while at university using an original Pignose and a funnel. David might even remember it. Great thing about a Pignose is it has the perfect recessed circular speaker grille to accept a funnel.

Enjoy your creation S'dog!

(Have you seen the recent Geico commercial with Peter Frampton as the "celebrity interpreter"? "Do you feeeel like I feeeeel?")

I've never tried making or using a talk box, but it's always looked like fun. The Pignose adaptation's a cool idea.

Kewl, man! 8) I don't think it sounds bad at all.

I have found that it works better if you place the mini amp in a box with some kind of insulation to isolate the sound coming from the mini amp. I'll spost some pics ASAP 8)
