Hey I've had a distortion pedal for a while now, and I just got myself an echo pedal...
I'm wondering which one should be first...
Thanks a lot,
Dave

The way that works best for you, but generally speaking, spatial effects such as reverb and delay (echo) are placed last in the chain.

general rule with effects: tone effects first and time effects last .

I always do distortion first. It sounds better to echo a disorted guitar than distort an echo...hmmm......

I agree. However with my Whammy pedal, I have my Fuzz pedal(Big Muff) after it because I want a high pitch with distortion, not a distorted high pitch. If that makes any sense. ;)
