I was listening to the album version of the song and realized that I played the faster, live version. That may be throwing people off if they don't have the extensive bootleg collection of this artist that I have. So here's a lyric from the song that if you use Google, you should be able to get it quickly.
"Everything has chains...absolutely nothing's changed"
Yikes (as I slap my forehead)! What dolt I am. The lyrics gave it away. It must be:
Corduroy - Pearl Jam
Yep, that's it. I'm sure the difficulty was caused by the poor interpretation by the guitarist :D
Your playing was just fine and dandy. My brain was not functioning properly. I'll get a riff up tomorrow night.
Hey guys, I've overcomitted and under-delivered. Tis the season and I got busy with family and school activities. I won't be able to post a riff until Saturday. If you've got a riff ready, go ahead and post, otherwise I'll have something up tomorrow.
Okay... here it is. A tad sloppy, but hopefully it won't make you cry
No clue, Boogie, but it's a beautiful little riff.
Don
Nope. Not Tracks of My Tears. My riff is from a song that was probably released 20 years after Smokey's great song.
A band name clue: You'd think they could remedy your ills.
I'm going out on a limb and guessing based on the hints and a 30 second clip on iTunes. Is is "Boys Don't Cry" by The Cure?
Jwmartin, you are correct.
Jwmartin, you are correct.
Man, that was a tough one. I have one recorded, but it's gonna be easy. Makes me want to record another one that's hard :P
Nah, here you go. No clues because it's so easy...
