You are a winner!
I knew the band but couldn't place the song. Is it 4 + 20 by CSNY?
Boogie said this was a winner, but no post? You around, jwmartin,to get this game going again? If not, I've got a bass lick I have been wanting to record.
I'm not sure about the others, but I needed a bit of a break. On top of that, there was only a small group of us playing. I've been recently thinking of getting things rolling again, but I'd like to see participation from more players than the little group we had before. It would help mix things up a bit.
My two cents.

Ditto. It would be nice to see participation from more people, maybe the ones who constantly play the other games here that don't require actual guitar playing, (hello musenfreund!).
Oh, and banre, if you have a bass riff, there is a separate game for bass riffs here: http://forums.guitarnoise.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=35330

I'd play again provided we had more participants.
Also, the Guess the Bass thread has been dead for ages. Maybe we should fold it into this game. The poster could specify whether it's a bass or guitar riff and hopefully we'd end up with more players.

I'd like to start playing this game again but give me a few weeks for my wrist to heal and I shall join in.
It would be a shame for this game to go under. I used to play it way back but the replies used to take so long coming that I got bored.
Needless to say I'm willing so long as others are.
Be excellent to each other & party on dudes!

Hey folks; any chance this game will be revived? :?
Sure, I'll kick it off.

Boxboy that sounds very good ... very familiar ... but I haven't got a clue. :(
Well played, sounds lovely!
No idea really. I played around (in my head) turning this into some sort of 60s/70s hard-rock or heavy metal tune, no success. Tried out a few blues riffs and songs, no luck. The only thing I could come up with is perhaps something by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'll give it some more thought.
It does sound very familiar, but I can't offer a guess yet. Can we get a clue?

The album it's from is very well known, but this track probably isn't.
2 clues:
The song's in Open G, a favoured tuning for this guitarist in the group.
The early 70s album had a controversial cover created by the most famous Pop artist of the day. My copy had the actual working zipper.

Do I dare? Rolling Stones- Moonlight Mile.
Darn. I'm committed now aren't I?
And you're right!
All yours.
