Question... i have been playing guitar for ruffly 2 1/2 years, i have had no lessons at all and been teaching myself but sadly i have been doing it wrong i am decently good but i dont know anything about keys or chord progressions. any ideas?

You need to start at the very beggining.
Use the lessons here and maybe pick up a beginners lesson book.
Some of the material you will obviously breeze through but you will learn the stuff you missed. In particular reading and understanding music.
