Hi All,

I was wondering if some of you experienced guitarists can recommend a good music theory book for a beginner guitarist.Much Thanks.

Cheers

Our member Noteboat, Tom Serb, has written an excellent book on guitar theory for guitarists.

You can buy it following links from his website.

Another book that is very easy to understand and one that I use with my students is The Guitarist's Music Theory Book.

I seriously doubt that :)

check out Walter Piston's harmony book if you are seriously into theory. That helped me alot when I was getting my theory together.

Petrucci doesn't have a doctorate in music theory at all. about books for theory, idk, but I like this website with some good tutorials: http://musictheory.net
