Working into "Complete Idiot's Guide to Guitar" I'm noting lessons like "banana boat song" in the book leads nicely into the "Easy Songs for Beginners" "Folsom Prison Blues/Your Cheatin Heart" lesson

And likewise for his introduction of blues rhythms in the book and "Before You Accuse Me" and "Kansas City" lessons on Guitarnoise.

I'm sure I'm not the only bright light to figure this out.

Anybody else following this path? Anybody further in the book noted more crossovers?
