Not been here for a while. Here's something. Not sure about the second bit or the last bit but see what you think.

**
Almost a Touch of Sorrow

Almost a touch of sorrow
Almost a touch of pain
It's barely worth a mention
And it doesn't have a name

It isn't worth a poem
It perhaps can have a line
In a play that now means nothing
In a long forgotten time

I can't tell you that I love you
Not even in a song
Though it's everything I live for
I feel I'm somehow going wrong

I can't tell you that I love you
I can't look you in the eye
I see the things I've always wanted
and all that I despise

In you
In everything I do
In everything
That speaks the truth

I can't tell you why my soul now bleeds
Or why I'm falling to my knees
You can ask me anything
But not the way,
The way I really feel

**

For this I was using a basic chord pattern

022100
x99800
x76650
x77600

You comments much appreciated,

Pete :)

I like it.

The second and last bits of the song fit well to me.

It's got a good beat, you can dance to it, I give it a 9!

I thought the song was very good. Good job! I can hear the chorus repeating at the end a couple times also. Also like how you included the chords. I know the songs posted here don't always have music to go along with them, but yours does, and I think that's great. I would suggest recording it and posting it on the "Hear, Here" forum.

Geez - Pete. Where you been hiding? Welcome home.

The chord sequence is superb, and the lyrics just roll off the tongue nicely.

How are you dealing with that last verse, with five lines?

Best,

A :-)

I agree, adding the chords was a good touch. Played along and sang to myself and it was easy to sing. Of course I sang it REAL SLOW

Record it for us please.

Good to back, i regret not being able to participate as much as I once did, life has a funny way of interupting the things we actually enjoy. I should be making a more regular appearance now things are under control.

Alan, in the last verse it's not really five lines. The "But not the way" is really part of the previous line. It goes along quite steady at first but the last verse has a little more urgency about it.

Thanks for allyour comments,

Pete. :)
