Hello everyone.

First of all, I'd like to thank you all for the good inputs on the other song I posted. Those were really nice songwriting lessons. Obviously I couldn't factor it all just yet, but hopefully I'm getting there.

While I was working on the other lyrics, this one posted here was also a work in progress. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

The idea is for these lyrics to go with a fast paced rock rhythm such as "Radar Love" or "Highway Star".
Verse
Leather jacket on, a guitar in my hand.
Just a few more minutes, I'll be joining the band.
It's been a while since we played together,
This gig, I know, will be better than ever.

Chorus
Yeah tonight I'm gonna make it last,
'Couz tonight I'm gonna... gonna give my best.
Won't you come down here and hear me play?
'Couz tonight Rock'n'Roll goes all the way.

Verse
The good old songs still can move the floor,
And the people are dancing, asking for more.
Some familiar faces sing along in the crowd,
The drummer is on fire, bashing really loud.

Chorus
Yeah tonight I'm gonna make it last,
'Couz tonight I'm gonna... gonna give my best.
Won't you come down here and hear me play?
'Couz tonight Rock'n'Roll goes all the way.

Bridge
It feels great,
It's terrifying,
Being back on stage,
Playing fast(???), playing live.

Chorus
Yeah tonight I'm gonna make it last,
'Couz tonight I'm gonna... gonna give my best.
Won't you come down here and hear me play?
'Couz tonight Rock'n'Roll goes all the way.

I couldn't figure out a chord progression for it yet, but I have some ideas for the melody.

Cheers!!

Strangedata- very good. I liked the story line. It is fun, and positive. Start with the melody, the chords will fall out from that.
