She took the line I played the bass
v.1
Cops rushed in
Then yelled freeze
Me and my bass Playing fretless melodies
When I found you
You stared with glassy eyes
We came in together
But you've been gone a while
chorus
You took the line
I played the bass
You made the rock
From powdered cake
Your final thoughts
I'll never see
nothing left
Just memories
Now ill never see your face
Or ever feel your warm embrace
All we have left is to share
A final melody
v.2
Sounds of bass
Far from me
In -no -cent But facing murder first degree
they'll look at me
To blame for your demise
Good bye music lady
cause I'll be gone for a while
chorus 2x
You took the line
I played the bass
You made the rock
From powdered cake
Your final thoughts
I'll never see
nothing left
Just memories
Now that ill never see your face
Or ever feel your warm embrace
All we have left is to share
A final melody
The rhyming and rhythm on the verses is a little off, but I'd really have to hear it with music to tell. That's pretty much my only con-- I love the hook. It's really original and doesn't quite make sense but it's somehow great. The whole chorus is nice, but it's really that whole "she took the line I played the bass" that gets me. I like how the song is connecting to music, I think you could draw on that a little more.
