Valley Of Dreams
My eyes wondered to the cracks
On the lonely road below
Like ribbons of regrets
Splitting down our tired souls
And bathed in the longing
The streets paved with dreams
A town built on the glory
Of children's youthful screams
And if I could open up my eyes
Then what exactly will I see
If I could see past these tears
Would you still be waiting there for me?
Heartache handed down
From years of uncertain belief
As we bath in the art of the sun
In the valley of our dreams
And every footprint in the mud
In the old playground
Holds a memory for everyone
Moments lost and found
But the candles in the sky
Still hang to light our way
As we play as fates children
On this ever-changing stage
And if I could open up my eyes
Then what exactly will I see
If I could see past these tears
Would you still be waiting there for me?
Heartache handed down
From years of uncertain belief
As we bath in the art of the sun
In the valley of our dreams

I have one word for that: unforgettable. A beautifully written song. :)

To live kneeling down is worse than to die standing up.

I liked it. It moved nicely and created some nice images. I'd love to hear it put to music.
couple of things.
Is 'wondered' correct? Did you mean wandered?
Children's screams tripped me up. Scream makes me think terror.
Great lyrics. Sounds like it'll make a really good song with the right music...
