I finally found this review and there is an important point of clarification: The Lava Cable reveiwed is Canare GS-6 and this is not mentioned anywhere in the article. I have asked that the article to be edited to reflect this, but this has not been done.

I am a high-end custom cable shop that makes cables with the following brands of cable:

Evidence Audio (USA)
Lava (USA)
Sommer (Germany)
Klotz (Germany)
Canare (Japan)
Mogami (Japan)
George L's (USA)
Gotham (Greece)

I have puposesfully sought out the best manufacturers of high end guitar cable from around the world. I have recently released my own cable: The Lava ELC (Extreme Low Capacitance) this cable is made in the USA and is not the cable tested by A-J- Charron.

I personnally found the article lacking in objectivity and poorly written. It does not even compare to the article written by Erik Kirkland entitled "Cable Summit" which is the standard for all guitar cable comparisions and can be found on my website.

Thanks to the prompt action of the AJ Music media webamaster all references to Lava Cable include Canare GS-6 in the Guitar cable review. Of note though, this is the first negative review I have seen of Canare GS-6, as it is a well-made Japanese cable that has been used in studios for years and recieved high marks in Erik Kirkland's article...
