I'm back everyone!!!
I've been really busy recently, working hard with school, keeping the girlfriend happy, etc. I have kept the guitars quiet recently, I even didn't bring mine back to school for spring semester. Bad decision, I brought them back out, and I even decided to finally purchase something nice. The Samick and the 51' have been great, but I've been lookin fro a real rock machine for a while now.
I decided to pick up a Barely Used Epiphone Les Paul Standard.
The previous owner changed out the tuners for grovers, and the knobs for pointers.
The used dealer I'm going through does deals on pickup upgrades. For 100 bucks parts and labor hes installing a H4 H4A combo.
He also does a full pro-setup. My neighbor loves this guy, buys all the time from him. And he's local, so I don't have to worry about shiping.
I figure $430 for modded guitar, plus the old parts, a good setup, is a good deal.
Past the GAS...
I'm also looking around campus for some people to play with. I found a drummer and a guitarist/vocalist, and they want to play some hard rock. I told them we could jam and see what happens. Hopefully we can get a good start this semester, then start gigging next fall.
Look for me here and there, I still have a lot of work for meteorology, so I'll be in and out.
Feels good to be back...
Who needs a signature?
I mean really...
It's almost always lyrics...
or a cliche...
or garbage about me...
Lets just save YOU from the pain, ok?
Wow, that is beautiful, just aching to be touched!
Very nice!
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
Have I mentioned my favorite Les Paul finish is black with creme? Well, it is. Nice!

Sounds like one heck of a deal. Well done. I like black LPs too.

"I wonder if a composer ever intentionally composed a piece that was physically impossible to play and stuck it away to be found years later after his death, knowing it would forever drive perfectionist musicians crazy." - George Carlin

Teamwork- A few harmless flakes working together can unleash an avalanche of destruction.
Very nice, but there is no cure for GAS. It just goes into remission!
