I played a gig last night and included in my set, for the first time, the version of Moondance as shown by David on this site.
When I finished a guy came out of the audience and said he had proposed to his girlfriend while I was playing it, and she had accepted, so could I play it again! :D
I announced it to the audience, the landlord broke out the champagne, on the house, and a good time was had by all. Turned in to a really great gig. So a big thank you for the lesson.
Just thought you might like to know.
Great story! :D And, congratulations on a great show! :D

That is a great story!

That's very cool, and while I'd like to accept credit for it, I think it should go to the performer and not the arranger in this case! After all, you are the one who provided the emotion. That counts for a lot more than whatever I teach.
Very nicely done!
Peace
PS - and call me "David." Please.
Pretty neat! Congrats to both of you

He should hire you as the music for the wedding...

Congats Pup and David,
Awesome story Pup, you should record it and post for us.
Davids articles are great, very informative but just as importantly fun to read.

Marty.
