I am interested in playing some blue on my guitar. Could someone maybe give me a few links to a place that could show me some beginner blue riffs?

Here's a start.

Google blues guitar lessons and you'll come up with many choices.

You'll want to make or pick up a slide, while you're at it. :D

Just for future reference, that particular genre is called the blues. Not the blue. You might be blue while you play the blues! :D

yah.LOL. I thought you wanted to paint your guitar blue.

and here one appears.

believe it out not, but Fender.com has an excellent site called 'players club'. I was curious one day and clicked into there.
I was surprised how cool it was. there were lessons for many types of guitar playing on all levels of experience. I found some classic blues licks.
try that out .
and can I use your language typo? I think I could use that in a song.

Blues You Can Use is supposed to be pretty good. There was a discussion on it here awhlie back, but I can't seem to find the link to that for you.

Blues You Can Use (written by Gnapes) is an excellent book (and CD) in my opinion and is pretty reasonable. There's also a forum where the author is active if you have questions.

Hey, just do what all the greats have done, listen to lots of blues music, I mean LOTS.

Internet radio: Live365.com, specifically....Electricblues radio is where I go, they want a membership fee of like 7.99/month, but it's worth it, I think. You hear more killer blues riffs like ya never heard!

Also, http://pandora.com/ can be seeded with a song you like and will just keep pouring out great stuff! I have a "station" on there called "Trouble In Mind Radio" that keeps me grooving.

Dear Pandora Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for most listeners located outside of the U.S.

Dude..that sucks. Pandora is an awesome site. As an alternative, you can try RadioIO.Com. They play some great stuff on that site and you shouldn't have the licensing issues. A bit different than Pandora, you choose a genre (station) to listen to. That station has turned me on to MANY new bands/artists.

I tried pandora, but I found it a bit limiting. Then I found last.fm. It tracks your musical habits and makes a radio station based on it while you use their client to search music based on tags and artists. No song searches though. I'm personally addicted to it, I've had it on for about 8 days straight.
