Is he somehow related to Yngwee Malmsteen?

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Personally I like "Why Wingie?"

It will be the title of my first CD.

I'm not one to make fun of a persons name or anything, I mean I like to think I'm a little more respectful and open minded and y'know, "worldly" or something. But really, what were his parents thinking with that one. Yngwie? Is that common in some parts or was there just a misprint on his birth certificate???? lol

It's probably pronounced "John" or something like that where he comes from.

God knows what his parents were thinking with that one. You can almost smell the bitterness on everyday people (bankers, bus drivers) who got landed with hippy parents in the 60s right in the thick of it all and got landed with a name like "Moonbeam" or "Rain". You can also practically smell the pot the parents smoked during the pregnancy, but that's a different matter (it's also why Rain is now a bus driver).

A famous example - Hoquiam and River Phoenix. Hoquiam is pronounced something like Hochamocj2332fndpkbnfwphapickmuck.

Joaquin Phoenix isn't his real name anyway. He was in a film called Parenthood (with Steve Martin, etc.) as a kid, and he was known as 'Leaf Phoenix'.

Now, what kind of leaf, I wonder............
