Has anyone found any good on-line stores that are similar to http://musiciansfriend.com/ , but located in Canada?

I know that MF (and pretty much anyone else) will ship to Canada, but the shipment still has to cross the border and encounter all the (potential) hassles involved in international shipping.

Plus, I'm too lazy to keep doing the currency conversions all the time. :D

Ive found we just don't have quality online stores of the US.

For your information any guitar manufactured in Canada will have no import duties if shipped from the US. At least that is what I understand from the most confusing document ever written. I didn't pay duty on my Canadian made Larrivee bought used from Florida.

That helps with Seagull and some Larrivee's (one plant in Vancouver and one in California) They will nail you with GST though.

Cheers,

Max

Just did a quick Google search for "Music stores Canada" and got a bunch of options you may also want to peek here http://www.cleverjoe.com/guitars.html .

Good luck.

Thanks all. There are a couple that I hadn't seen before.

I have done a fair bit of Googling and had come to the same conclusion as MaxRumble.

I guess Canada is a small enough market that the "high volume, low markup" business model doesn't fly as well as in other places.

Oh well, back to the pawn shops and classifieds to find me a deal
