so yeah, i stopped by GC today (to stroke several hollow body's (hope my babies dont find out), and thought... I havent played my classical in forever, and have treated it very poorly, setting it up with steel strings (even though they were 8's... still not right). So I bought a set of those Ernie Ball 'Earthwound' (???) classical nylon strings. Oh my goodness, once they settled, just beautifull. Oh, I also bought a set of Ernie Ball 12's about a month and a half ago.... still going great!!! Deffinately going to buy more of those babies. Simply love the sound of both. The sultry sound of the classical nylon strings, and the heavy downtuned bluesy sound of the 12's.
