Pickup up my first Wah-Wah today. My birthday was the 20th (P.M. me with the address to send my Guitar Center Gift Cards :) ), and My grandma gave me a gift card for guitar center. (Rock on grandma!) So I went to guitar center and spent maybe 3 hours in there. I was hoping they had the squier 51', but they didn't so I went into the accessories section. Tried out a few wah-wah pedals. It ended up coming down to the slightly more affordable Original Cry baby and the Crybaby Classic with Fasel Inductors. The Classic won. More sweep, more vintage sounds. The thing sounds great through my epi tube amp. Definatly get my funk on with this thing. I've been expierimenting with the first thing anyone plays through a wah, the intro to voodo child, and Rage Against the machines intro to Bulls On Parade. I like the jazz it adds to my blues improv, makes it all sound more rockish. All in all, great addition to my sound.
Also, should I put this baby into the effects chain of my behringer GMX212 modeller or infront of it?

i put mine before my Vox amp, and it put it behind all the other effects. makes the wah effect more pronounced, esp with a nice helping of fuzz
Happy Birthday :D Oh..You should know, There is no known cure for G.A.S. It may go into remission for a time but it will always com back
Happy birthday!
As for pedal placement - try them all, use your favourite.
Happy Birthday! Nice new toy you have there.
Only thing that would help my GAS is to unplug the internet or cut up my credit cards. But I am trying.

Happy Day!

wahs are good. I often set a level and keep my foot off of it. found some nice Zappa tones.
Ive experiemnted where it goes in my pedal chain and havent decided what was best yet.
Happy B-Day, congrats on the wah. Does anyone find that wahs like the crybaby, etc are particularly hard to....use ? I tried Vox wah once, and I'm sure this is due to inexperience, but it was difficult to switch on, especially at precise moments, and if I pushed to hard on it I would accidently turn it off. All my fault of course, but they seem to be more of a headache than other pedals
I'm nearly sold on the Vai wah, never tried it but it is always in "heel down" mode and is switchless; you just step on it and it engages, push the heel down and it shuts off. Much simpler.

Mine came pretty stiff, But it loosens up real quick. When standing I find its much easier to turn off and on. Does anyone else here have this wah? It's a great one for funk, and I can't believe I was playing funk without a wah. This things great.
