I was walking around guitar center today and I noticed that they had Mr. Gilmour's Active EMG pickups in their scanty collection. They were inside a wrapped box. Has anyone ever heard these live in front of your face? Does anyone own these, because I know they are very expensive. And if you have anything to say, please go right ahead and say it. The pickups I'm talking about are right here:

They sound pretty darn outstanding to me, but then again it is when they are played by the master (check my avatar). Listen to his tone during his solo, starting at 4:55. IMHO, one of the best solos ever:

Agreed. The PULSE Comfortably Numb solo(s) is by far the best out of any other CN solo I've heard. Incredible. I can't resist putting on my head phones and shutting my eyes.
I'd go for it if you can afford it.
