i've been looking out for this model of Ovation's for quite some time on Ebay. The only thing i'm not sure about of course, is the sound. Mind anyone describing the sound to me? or even better, record a clip?? from the cs257 model?

I owned the C057 celebrity Ovation - It sounds good when plugged into an amp. If you are not going to use an amp - DONT buy the guitar :)
It doesnt have a wood back...the bowl is made out of some plastic material.
So amp or no amp...

i've got an ovation celeb its a nice guitar for gigs an stuff where you'r gonna be running it through an amp, it doesent go throguh pa's in case u didnt know, but yeah it sounds awfuly low if its not going throguh an amp becasue of the round plasticy back, but it's proly the lightest acoustic i've ever known of. pretty nice :wink:
be good at what you can do-
I run my Ovation through a PA system every sunday, and it sounds great. And if you have a mid or dep bowl, you get plenty of sound.
