hay guys
i wonder which effect Kirk used in first and the last solos of fade to black, and possibly the EQ and the tone ( did it contain a flanger or light whammy ).
also the haevy riff and the solo of one.

It's basically just distortion with a little bit of chorus and reverb. As far as E.Q goes, it's probably a scooped sound (full treble and bass, mid turned to 0). As far as tone goes, you'd probably be best using a bridge humbucker pickup on your guitar. Kirk and James use EMG active pickups and Mesa/Boogie amps, so anything similar would be a good start.
