PICS PICS PICS!!!!!!!
YAY I finally got down to my local shop, and picked her up!! I'm so happy with it. I seriously, honestly, cannot express this enough but... I have never. In my LIFE played a guitar that played so damn smoothly. I cannot EXPRESS enough how SWEET this guitar RIPS. OMG It DESTROYS, ROYALLY DESTROYS any other guitar even "thought" to be a "shred" guitar. Man Yngwie knows what he's doing and knows his instrument of choice. This thing is so buttery hot warm whatever you want to use to explain it. I threw some 9's on it, and cleaned it up and snapped some pics. So here is my 2003-2004 Full USA American Deluxe!

Very nice , congrats
#4491....
very cool. now you understand completely those of us that have real Fender guitars . now you, like us, have to use patience when Squire players rave how their guitars are every bit as good as a fender American.
don't you love the way the neck feels. those rolled edges are the bomb.
Squier player here (between Squiers, actually, but will have another soon.)
Would never say it was "just as good," but when ya suck as bad as I do, it's be hard to justify the step up investment.
Gimme another year to play well enough to justify it, and I'll be shopping for the real thing!
Meanwhiles, beautiful axe, man. I am turning green.
Ande.
Congrats.....now you can be a shtar with shtyle.
Yeah, I've never really liked squiers. I did have some trouble when I was a newb telling the difference between a USA strat, and a MIM strat sometimes though. However between the noiseless single's or the UNBELIAVABLE neck feel I can definatly spot a MIM to a usa. So yeah, I couldnt be happier!

When you're a college student the word Fender means forget it.
Nice guitar, sounds like you're in love :D
Lets hear some sound clips :)
Who needs a signature?
I mean really...
It's almost always lyrics...
or a cliche...
or garbage about me...
Lets just save YOU from the pain, ok?
Nice guitar man :D

I always disliked Squiers. I dislike them even more now that I've tried the Stagg strat pack-miles better and $200 Canadian for amp, picks, guitar and tuner.
Congrats on the new guitar.
Ewan McGregor: I said, "Eve, I want you to look after my wedding ring while I'm away," and she started to cry and I said, "Eve. Eve, I can't wear my ring or I won't get laid on the trip!"
Nice looking guitar. Glad you're enjoying it. 8)

Hi.
As a pretty devoted Strat guy, I'm glad to see that you're enjoying yours!
I do have a few things, now that I've seen the pics....
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about the price.
I have a Fender Catalog from 2004....
It appears to be a MIA neck.... I didn't really look at the serial numbers, so I can't tell what the date is....
A MIA Deluxe has a DZ prefix I thought....?
Also, a Deluxe has locking tuners.
MIA Dlx's have Samarian Noisless pups.... these look like Vintage Noisless pups.
Also, Dlx's have S-1 switching.
ALL MIA's have TWO (2) point sync trem bridges with the third generation saddles....
This one has a six screw with second generation saddles.
The neck plate should say Fender on it.... this one looks blank.
The strap buttons also look to be vintage - wrong for MIA's
The color looks transparent to me????
Can you see the wood grain through it????
If so - I think that would make the color Crimson Transparent (38)....
That is not an option on the MIA Dlx.
It would take me quite awhile to look through all the MIA Strats to see if it's a MIA color....
I would suggest looking to see if the body numbers match the neck.
It seems like a nice guitar that you really like, for a good price....
I'm just not sure that it is what you think it is.

Thinking that it could be a 2003, and they could have been different the year before....
Even so;
The bridge is wrong, and if it's a blank neck plate, that's wrong too.
I'd really like to clear all this up.... I hate unsolved mysteries!

What exactly is a MIA? Yes the paint is transparent and yes you can see the "grain". What do you mean a MIA neck? Are you saying this is not a USA Fender?
I can tell that since it doesnt have locking tuners and all that its not a deluxe thats fine, but wouldnt that just make it an american standard??
You seem to know your history ken, if theres anyway you could enlighten me upon what your talking about that'd be great.
According to Fender.com the serial number on the neck says that it is a 2003-2004 American Standard.
I'd like it if some people could help me clean this whole mess up, I just dropped 550$ on something that is a fraud or what?
Im about to be pissed.
Theres no way this thing isnt USA fender, Ive never touched a guitar this nice in my life.
Help.

I think what Ken is suggesting is that it's probably not a Deluxe as you've mentioned in your subject line and first post.
