Fender HSS (tex mex and Diamondback)

Topic starter  

I just bought a Fender American HSS and i have a Line 6 Spider 2 but when i play i can barely tell the difference between that and my squier haha i know it sounds funny but what do i need to do to make it sound awesome like everyone says it sounds

It's possible you've got a good squier and a bad Fender American HSS. Take them both to a store and try them through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. You might want to try a couple other Fender guitars too. It's also possible there's not enough difference for it to matter to you. But try a good clean tube amp first.

It might be because your amp is small, and through a small amp the difference isn't noticable, even if you have an LP Gibson Supreme and a cheap starter pack with humbuckers,
