First full song learned was Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes, first riff learned was of course the infamous Smoke on the Water

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
The first thing that I learnt all the way through was "Apache" by the Shadows, if I remember - this was the first time around with guitar (1962-3-ish), which was followed by a 35+ year hiatus (girls, booze, work, marriage, children - the usual reasons . ).
GB - love the Shadows/Ventures. Do you have any (good) tab for an easy one?
First electric tune I learned was "Bacchius Plateau", a strange Rush tune that I learned on my own using tab. It was a great experience trying to figure out the best way to use my fingers to make the movements simple. It was cool being able to play Alex Lifeson!!

I've put a couple of them on my site, plus one or two non-Shadows tunes

That should keep you busy for a month or two
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

My first was Hey Joe. Simple enough, yet not too simple.
Well, I've had some requests, but I'm going to play anyway.
I started off with Guns N Roses 'Knockin on heavens door' taught to me by an old friend. My friends now hate that song as its usually the first thing I play when I pick up a guitar now :)
