Greetings all,

I did some searches on this and didn't find much (on the forums at least).

I have been selected to jump onboard to a Rage Against The Machine cover band, which I am doing because it will be a true challenge since I play tones totally different than Tom's (lots of acoustic, and punk-like garage tones that sound like chainsaws with overdrive, or very clean Fender Twin Reverb sounds...)

I know a lot of players must have played some Rage tunes, so I figured I'd ask what equipment is needed to pull it off, and any advice or tips I could find. I have a Crybaby Wah, and I know he uses a few devices like a DigiTech Whammy for octives (I have always wanted one, perhaps I ought to invest) and some of his sound comes from the use of his pickup selector? Shot in the dark!

Thanks for any help. I hate cover bands, but think learning something new would be good for me... only 25 and I am stuck in my ways already!
