Not something I'd get though.
I'm a little surprised since Demo posted that Joan Jett photo.
I'm not a Joan Jett fan really. Not heavy enough for my liking.
I think it's a cool looking guitar, and I'll be watching for them around here to check 'em out. Not sure I need another guitar but, wait a minute, what am I saying! :P

Yeah, waaaaaay too skinny, that girl ....

Mahogany, with a rosewood fretboard; just like a normal LP then. Looks decent enough to me. the LP Junior Billy Joe Armstrong signature model only has one pup too.
Best,

I personally don't like the les paul juniors, but I'm a big guy and like big heavy guitars. IMHO only of course.

Cool! Kinda like the Fender Esquire

I remember a Melody Maker a buddy of mine had back in 1971 :D It played pretty good as I remember. It was a great rhythm guitar ( that was all I could play then) If I come onto some extra money I would get one :D --ken

I think that is a pretty cool looking guitar, although the guitar in that pic has two pickups. :?
The original Melody Maker had a P-90 pickup, this new Melody Maker says "special design single coil pickup". So maybe this is how they reduced the cost??
This guitar has a cool vibe like the '51. This thing has given me GAS, I am now determined to get one.

Think Les Paul Jr........

That picture above...is that the Melody Maker? I don't know why people don't like the way it looks...I think it's beautiful. Simple is good.
Anyone seen the Les Paul BFGs? Stupid name, but awesome guitars, I think. I love grungy stuff that I don't have to worry about. Suits my personality - I don't care about the way things look. If I'm gonna use it, I'm gonna use it.
Now, if that Melody Maker was styled like the BFG - raw - I'd be all over that thing, even with my finances and current lack of funds. :D
Edit: Actually, I'm looking at the BFG now, on Musiciansfriend here) and I'm realizing that I don't really like it all that much. It's unfinished, which is awesome, but if I got one I'd probably still take sandpaper to it to make it look the way I wanted it to look. IT doesn't have a truss rod cover, but the inner color is yellow - wtf? That's horrible. I do love the fretboard, but I'd have to do something about those pickups. They're too new, shiny, bright, whatever. The selector switches, as well. They aren't worn. They look brand-new - they don't fit the idea of the guitar.
Double Edit: Everything I said does not apply to the red one. Somehow, that one looks good.
If I owned one, I'd bea thte hell out of it...then I'd be happy with it.

At the Gibson site I could see that is a name plate. On MF it looks like a smaller pickup to me. :D
That video was impressive, now I really want one.
I imagine that single coil will make a little noise at volume, but that's ok. The input jack looks a little awkward too, I usually use straight jacks.
Still want one. Gonna get it too.

Aww hell, that video is making me want one. Saving for an ESP not listening.......*puts fingers in ears* la la la la la la
Well, even though my old lady is not a player, I'm pretty sure if I work enough over time she will let me get one :D :D That will put me up to 12 axes 8) --dog
