Those of you who are Godin fans might be interested in this. Seagull is now making lower cost version of the Godin thinline acoustic-electrics. Those I saw don't seem offer the synth access, as is optional on the Godins. But if anyone is looking for a slightly less expensive version of a Godin, check these out.

Also, I finally got a chance to play the Godin fretless nylon acoustic-electric. It's much easier to play than I imagined. It's very much similar to playing slide without a slide, though it is possible to finger complex chord shapes. It also produces that same cool "muuuaaah" sound when sliding up that one gets from a fretless bass. Plus there are all the jazzy, avant garde microtonal possibilities. Guess Buzz Feiten won't be available on this one.
