I would definelty want to have gone. I go to texas every summer to visit my dad's side of the family (dallas). However, this summer I'm going to lebanon, to visit my mom's side and its scaring the heck out of me. I really don't feel safe in planes, and the whole region i'm going to stay in (lebanon is in the heart of the middle east) makes me extrmemey uneasy. (if you saw the recent news about that lebanese reporter....) In addition, three straight weeks without my guitar. It's just not possible.

I just needed to get that off my mind

LMAO, Dog,,,,yeah, a nurse could come in real handy.....although Marilyn's almost fully recovered now....

Taking the lap-top (plus mic and webcam!!!) so we'll have to see what we can get down....my camera also has a video capability, have to look through the instructions (anything more complicated than "point and click" is advanced programming to me...)and see if I can sort it out....

:D :D :D

Hi. Uh, Being a Texan, uh my favorite song about Texas is from...
Dang it!! I forgot his name!!! He's from the UK. The song is called, "Texas". One of his songs was featured in the movie Natural Born Killers. I love that song. Oh and WASP's Blind in Texas. That one is
really good too.

you're a 22lb sledge, do you really have to be?

That's got to be Texas (1989) by Chris Rea. THE best Texas song ever written. (It ought to be the state song) If I could play electric guitar, that's the one I would want to learn. (Can't even come close to a solo yet anyway...)

If anyone runs across a tab of this song I'd be willing to give it a try...

"Amarillo By Morning" would be pretty, but I don't know how easy it is to play.

John A.

They say only a pawnshop guitar can play the blues. An eBay one does it better. A guitar's bound to feel unloved if her owner plasters pictures of her over the internet for all to see and then sells her off to the highest anonymous bidder.

Haha, good stuff.

Just wanted to say, Pet, Vic, this is nearly 6 pages of you two posting. This is the official proof that you are both insane.

Muahah I *IS* back! Be warned.

Vic and Marilyn DO need a nurse, one with a big needle and a bad attitude is preferable.

As for Texas songs, What about the album White on Blonde by the band Texas?

(Who are actually from Scotland btw)

I think it's got the whole trip pretty much mapped out with tracks such as 'PostCard', 'Insane' and 'Black Eyed Boy', sounds about right to me.

I'm no nurse Ratchet, but I do have some BIG needles( I do love my work  ), and lots of splints and dressings. The wife is a nurse too, we could set up a first aid station. We have at least one doctor who posts here ( and he plays a mean slide guitar)  --the dog
