Nice looking guitar! And yes, there is something worse than screwing up some chords in a music shop and that would be not knowing any chords to screw up and having the shop guys have to play the guitar for you. This is what I had to do with my acoustic. Checked the action and fel of the guitar, but couldn't play anything at that point. Guy was really ehlpful though and the one I ended up with I am stoked about, but I was slightly embarassed when I went in.

I ask an employee to play sometimes, just to hear it from the other side. It does sound different than what you hear playing it.

btw, I pretty much always tell the shop assistant i cant play much at all and get them to do something on it instead. I still have a play around with it but on a much quieter basis.
