Hi! I could not find a more approperiate place to post this, so I am sorry if it is missplaced!

I am looking for a good guitarbag for traveling. The last year I have been traveling with my backpack and guitar in hand, but I have realized the backpack really is completely useless. From now on I want to ditch it and put my guitar on my back instead and tie my sleeping blanket to the bag and put what little extra clothes I have in the bag.

Can anyone recommend me a good bag for this purpose? I want something that can house a little more than the guitar and that is waterproof and sturdy because I bump around a lot.

i'd never heard of a waterproof guitar bag, but a quick google search came up with
http://www.amazon.com/Acoustic-Guitar-Waterproof-Light-Strap/dp/B004WA0QE4
http://www.riverconnection.com/jacks-guitar-high-quality-waterproof-drybag-p-427.html
http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale/wholesale-waterproof-guitar-bag.html

as for your backpack being useless, try not using it for a week before you decide that for certain.

Oh sorry, I should have phrased that different. I am not actually looking for a 100% water proof bag, just something that can take a bit of rain. The last bag I had did not hold out water at all. I realize I should have phrased that differently, sorry! What is most important for me really is that the guitar has a lot of extra pockets and that it has filling that protects it from bumps and also that it will last. The one I have now is completely falling to pieces only from a few months of traveling.

I know my backpack is useless, last summer I was a month in Alicante and I actually stashed my backpack somewhere outside of the city and lived without it. I did need it during the autumn though because I was in Germany and France, but now I am in the south of Spain and next stop is Tenerife! I had a good guitar bag when I was in Alicante, I could get my books and stuff in it and I only had one set of clothes which I was wearing. When summer comes again I want to travel like that, as light as possible!

well, if those don't work for you, there's always wrapping your guitar in a tarp before you put it in your bag.
