I'd like to have $13,000 worth of guitars and equipment in my home for someone to steal!

Somewhat on topic: Does anyone know if it's possible to insure guitars? If I had $13,000 worth of guitars I'd like to have them insured.

Hi.
It's not uncommon for burglars to "raid the fridge" during break ins.
It's weird that they do that, because they don't generally do it because all the heavy lifting made them hungry. Accounts from most of them
(convicted burglars) seem to suggest that this is done primarily as an
insult - an "in your face!" sort of thing.
Personally I think it's an attempt by the burglar to excersise power.
Most burglars are cowards. Doing something as brazen as eating food
might give them a false sense of empowerment.

you're a 22lb sledge, do you really have to be?

If I were to rob a house I would do it just because its funny.
I can't imagine that a house owner would even begin to agree with that sentiment. The overriding emotion of people, who's house has been burgled, is one of having their intimate, personal sphere invaded. There are many families that cannot deal with it to the extent that have to move house.
I wouldn't find it remotely funny - and neither would the burglar, after I'd finished with him.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

I was the victim of a burglary a few years ago.....my stereo, TV and Sky receiver all went.....I didn't find it very funny at all.....

Mind you the burglar didn't find it very funny, after he'd been caught and done his six months in prison, when I had.....er,a few gentle words with him.......

Never did get my stuff back though.....

Maybe funny as in out of place or incongruous.

I think it would be more "funny" if the robber left a note apologizing.

What if a robber left his business card? Would that be considered "funny"?
