I think your on the right track, Vic!
I know you're not going to play these three, but...
Werewolves Of London
Season of the Witch
Eye of the Zombie
...are all very COOL!
Also, you might want to work on the theme to the Munsters! Because you know some drunk dude is gonna go - "ehhhhhh play the Munster theme, HERMAN."
CCR = Creedence Clearwater Revival.
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."

umm..inside joke is close....I've only done about 4 or 5 CCR songs for the easy song database....Fogerty is one of the all time greats as far as I'm concerned, I've got almost everything CCR ever did on vinyl, tape or CD.....and downloaded the rest (but don't tell Nick!) ......
My first open mic, what did I start with? Proud Mary......
CCR, Beatles, Stones.....ok, there's more good stuff out there, but I could happily do Desert Island Discs and stick to the above 3 bands, plus a couple of Dylan CD's......
We all have our favourites, doesn't matter what mood I'm in, Fogerty has a song for it.....

Vic,
*singing* "Evil waits with Zombie Eyes..........." You have the voice for that puppy!!!!! Go for it!!!!
Another great tune! Great idea!
Really now, what doesn't CCR or the later bring to the table.
Have fun tomorrow!

I agree. He even sang about baseball in the 80's, and it's always good music to ride to.

Ah-ha....think I've got one.....
John Fogerty's most recent CD is a classic, to my ears any way.....
Deja Vu All Over Again....
There's a track on there called "Wicked Old Witch" ..... classic CCR Swamp-rock....
Going to have to try and work it out in the AM, 'tis past the witching hour here.... neighbours might get upset......
Here are the lyrics....might just have to post the tab on the ESD.....
Well way down yonder
In the deep blue holler
Yeah way back in the swamp
Where thye snakes go crawlin'
Shrivelled old lady
With a tombstone mouth
Scarin' up trouble
At the haunted house
CHORUS....
Flyin' cross the moon on a big ol' stick,
Everybody 'fraid of the wicked old witch.
When the sun goes down
And moon gets high,
You can hear her cacklin'
Out in the night
Well-a sinners and gamblers,
And gunslingers too,
Everybody scatters,
When the witch comes through....
(Chorus)
Saturday night
And the wind begins to howl,
You can bet that old swamp witch
Is out on the prowl,
Creatures and goblins,
Spooks all around,
Making their way
Up the road into town.....
All I have to do now is work out the chords....I've got about 18 hours.....
Go to the bank, do some shopping, get home, get ready....in real time (guitar time!) I've got about 4 hours.....
Ah well....wish me luck......
