I've been looking all over the internet for a tab on the song "I got a line on you" by spirit. I know theres an alice cooper tab to the song out there but I'm wondering if anyone has seen or know the tab to the spirit version?

Any help is appreciated!

Found this:

I've Got a Line On You - Spirit (1968) - written by Randy California
- released as single, October 1968
- and on the album "The Family That Plays
Together"

Play this song with bar chords.

B D / E (meaning play D, then slide it up to E)
B E D (meaning play E, then slide it down to D)

This pattern repeats through the verses. Work with the album to get the
pattern and the beat.

verse 1
Let me take you, baby, down to the riverbed
Got to tell you something, go right to your head.

Chorus:

G A B
I got a line on you, baby (got a line on you babe)

G A B
I got a line on you.

verse 2
Now put your arms around me, ev'ry bit of your love
If you know what to do, I'll make love to you, we got to rock on, make
it through these times

Chorus...

(I won't say I've nailed the solo, but try starting with this)

Play this line twice -

e-----15/16--16--16--12------------------------------------------
B--12--------------------14/15--15--15--12-----------------------
G-------------------------------------------9--9------9----------
D-------------------------------------------------12-----9--7--9-
A----------------------------------------------------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------------

Play this line twice -

e--------------------------
B--------8-----10--8-------
G--9--9-----9---------9----
D--------------------------
A--------------------------
E--------------------------

Finish solo with this

e-----------------------------------10--12--
B--------8-----10--8-----8--10--12----------
G--9--9-----9---------9---------------------
D-------------------------------------------
A-------------------------------------------
E-------------------------------------------

then go back to chorus...

verse 3
Now listen: The winter's almost over, the summer she's comin' on strong
I can love you, love you, love you, love you all year long. Hey, hey!

Chorus (twice)...

If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
