A newbie here. Just signed up to ask for some feedback (no pun intended). Anyhow, I've always wanted an explorer styled toy. Should I go with a Gibson Explorer or a Hamer Standard? I'm looking at a 1983 Gibson vs. a late 90's Hamer Standard Custom. Pros & cons of each?

I don't know how much this helps, but I have an import Hamer Standard (Korea) in the honey/natural and it is a REAL nice guitar. In fact, looks almost EXACTLY like a Gibson Explorer in natural. Well worth the $350 (guitar, case, and upgraded Gibson 500/496 pickups)!
