he is so wicked lol
that is pretty good.

so I take it you found Kaki?
Oh man, that is funky cool. I'm not even sure how that sound's happening. Ya'll know of any lessons on that?
This video sure does bring up the age old question though.
Is that a dude or a chick?
Edit: Can you do that on an electric?

on electric?... the only technique that is similar is tapping.
although there IS slap bass. and that is electric.
so maybe?
Wow, that's a cool sound. I would have never thought an acoustic could get that sound.
"Nothing...can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts."
Kaki's guitar is tuned open.
so just by strumming all the strings unfretted you get a lush sounding chord.
she's awesome.
Kaki King is amazing. I had a chance to see her about a month ago and was lucky enough to hang out with her for a little while after the show. I recommend both of her albums (Legs to Make Us Longer and Everybody Loves You).
By the way, the tuning for Playing With Pink Noise is CGDGAD (low to high). There is a good tab of it on Ultimate Guitar. Have fun, it'll take you a while to get a handle on.

btw is kaki king anyway related to justin king cause she palys a lot like him, not as good but a alot the same
Do a google video search for justin king and see if you like it :P
No, Kaki isn't related to Justin. I agree that from the one song (if that's all you've heard/seen), they do seem very similar in style. However, I'd equate Kaki's overall style moreso with the likes of Micheal Hedges and Leo Kottke than Justin King. I guess that's my personal opinion and most comparison's I've seen. She's admitted that they're her biggest influences, so it's only fitting she takes quite a bit from their styles.

Ah, I see. Does anyone else know any other slap players?
Not slap but if you want to have a go at the two handed tapping stuff then try Joe Satriani's midnight.
