Hello there :)
Right i'm looking for a new acoustic, im in England just to say for links online, and i was wondering what ones you all would reccommend. Im not looking to spend too much but im open to suggestions, please help, i dont know much when it comes to acoustics :(
Do you want something that can be knocked about a bit or a finer more delicate instrument? The big difference with acoustics is solid or laminate tops. Seagulls are nice but they have a slightly wider neck than the norm. Otherwise there are plenty of good cheap acoustics made by the major manufacturers, Yamaha, Alverez, Takamine etc, etc.

Well, i wouldn't be gigging or anything like that with it, i want a decent sound really i dont mind the rest lol.
Open to all reccommendations mate
Go for a solid top then, they're pretty reasonable. Everyone seems to have there favourite model. The Seagulls are 300-400 quid, but you can get something good for less.

Is there a SoundControl near you?:

Or any big shop with a good range. Go in, have a play, get them to play the ones you like and go from there. I resd a hundred reviews online and decided I wanted an S&P 6, which is an excellent guitar, but when I played it I just didn't like it.
I'm not helping, am I?
Rich is right, it really is best to go listen to a bunch. Going two or three times can be helpful to. Your ear really does develop, and everyone has their own preferences. Also there's no point in getting something less than the best your ear and wallet will allow :)

Depends on your budget as to what you go for.
Have a look at http://guitars.co.uk/acatalog/Acoustic_Guitars.html .
I'm told the Cort guitars come well recommended. I have played a couple of Yamahas and they were really nice.
Bear in mind that I'm only a beginner myself and I would hesitate to recommend a particular model.
Whereabouts in the UK are you?

Cort makes good beginner models, I am partial to Yamaha cause for $100 US i have a dreadnaught that I love the tone, feel, and volume of and im not afraid to throw it in the car and take it w/ me. It aint the prettiest thing but its a player...

I was willing to pay more than 80 notes but this looks good, read a few reviews and it looks promising.
Yeah, that should be pretty good, it's a laminate topped one, but Yamaha is capable of making a good knock about guitar. Most of the people who've mentioned them on this forum have liked them.
You can buy a solid top Taylor later when you're ready to spend a bit more :D

I've had my solid top for close to a year, easy to play, nice wide fretboard, stays in tune beautifully, very durable, cost about $350 Canadian.
I've actually had a couple of players who own more expensive "prestige" guitars comment on how nice it plays and sounds.
yamaha FG series - the best in business no one crosses them.check some out at http://www.zzounds.com
<---bought the one on the left (FG-165-S) back in 76', it's still a good player.
