I have no idea if this is proper or not, but I keep mine out on guitar stands.

haha.

Basically, a good rule of thumb, make sure you would be comfortable in the climate your guitar is in.

other than that, you can store it about anywhere, guitar stands work, just make sure you don't knock it over. I like to sit mine in a chair, with the front of the guitar leaning against the chair back.

If you lean the guitar, make sure the front of the guitar is leaning on the wall/whatever you're leaning it on.

What... no pics!? :P  Congrats, and I keep mine on their guitar stands. Wipe 'em down when I change strings.

I hang all my guitars on the wall :D Just try and keep the temp. and humidity within reason. I try to get them into a tech for a tune-up once every 2-3 years or as needed.

do not hang your guitars on a wall where the other side is outside.
there are temperature differences that can affect moisture etc.
inside walls are fine.
be careful leaving a guitar on a stand because the padding could be reactive to guitar finishes.

so keep an eye on things.
dont store your guitar near a heat source or in a sunny window.

wipe the strings and guitar body with a soft cloth after playing.

as much as I love looking at my guitars, most times they stay in the case when not played.

If you lean the guitar, make sure the front of the guitar is leaning on the wall/whatever you're leaning it on.

So you want the strings against the wall/whatever?

Is this so the neck doesn't bend out of shape?

I have mine hanging on the wall. I've got a trio of these: http://www.herculesstands.com/guitars/GSP38WB.html that I find work well. I'd recomend you make sure you get a good hold on a stud though, the moment arm these suckers put on the wall is pretty large so if you don't want a hole in your wall and a guitar on your floor I recomend you spend some quality time with a stud finder...
