I broke my new guyitar string this morning trying to put it on. :cry: :x

Is it the same string always? Does it break at the same spot? If so, take your guitar to a guitarshop and have them look at it. If it's the process of putting a new string on check this: http://guitar.about.com/library/weekly/aachangingstringsa.htm
Else go back to where you bought it and ask if they could please show you how to apply the strings. Usually it's not too much of a problem if it ain't too busy. DId the same with my violin last week. Yeah, it's emberassing, but we all need to learn it one time or another.

Pay attention to the tension in the string as you wind it. I wonder if you're not winding it an octave past where you should be. That would lead to snapping the string.
